    Delivered 10 - 12 weeks
Upon ordering your items will be handcrafted especially for you. This takes time and expertise so we allow 4 -5 weeks for manufacture, quality assurance and packaging. 4 weeks travel to the U.K., and then there’s customs clearance and admin. It’s worth the wait!

We now send out items where the customer is not liable for import tax or duty (not inc Norway or Switzerland) through courier network DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) This is a delivery agreement between ourselves and the courier companies, where we are obliged by contract to pay all duties and tax on import rather than the customer. This DOES NOT include Norway or Switzerland. This is easily arranged through the courier and directly with the customer for these 2 countries.

We offer 30 day returns to our customer in most of Europe. We created this policy as part of our ongoing customer support to provide a hassle-free shopping environment, enabling customers to assess aesthetics in their living situation space.

One of the reasons you might be shopping with us is that you recognise the superior quality of our pieces. And just as we want our furniture to be the best you can find, we want our promise to you to be equally superior. That’s why, while most furniture manufacturers only offer a 1 year warranty, we offer a 5 year warranty. Please go to warranty policy to read the full warranty policy.

    CONTEMPORARY INSPIRATION

    MAJESTIC IMPRESSIVENESS

Named with irony after the Michelin Man whose form this armchair calls to mind, the Eileen Gray's Bibendum Chair style is most certainly one of a kind. Captivating and harmonious despite its size, this charming leather armchair is an impressive statement piece. The thick contour sections of the chair are inviting and comfortable.

    A MODERN BUT FEMININE

This Bibendum Armchair has been designed and built with comfort in mind, its moulded wooden and metal frame is covered in density foam and upholstered inpremium leather erected on a polished stainless steel stand. One of a kind design and it is captivatingly harmonious despite its size and unites a majestic impressiveness with charm and esprit like no other leather armchair.

    Eileen Gray

Eileen Gray was an Irish-born French-based architecture and furniture designer and a pioneer of the Modern Movement in architecture. Her father James Maclaren Smith was a Scottish Landscape painter who was one of her major influences in pursuing her interest in painting and drawing. In 1917, Gray was hired to redesign the Rue de Lota apartment also known as Madame Mathieu Levy. The Rue de Lota apartment has been called “the epitome of Art Deco. An issue of Harper’s Bazaar describes the Rue de Lota as ‘thoroughly modern although with a feel for critically antique. The furniture included some of Gray’s best-known designs - the Bibendum chair was a take on Michelin Man with tire-like shapes sitting on a chrome steel frame. The Pirogue Day Bed was gondola shaped and finished in patinated bronze lacquer. After much success, Gray opened her shop in 1922 and named it Jean Desert after an imaginary male owner “Jean” and Gray’s love of the North African Desert.
